It’s easy to see why this cute little kitchen gets so many 5 star reviews on Amazon.co.uk. It’s a compact, robust kitchen with enough to amuse a budding chef but not so big it has to take over your house. It has chunky twistable dials and 2 door to open and shut. The vibrant retro red makes it a friendly kitchen for both boys and girls.
Tidlo (previously John Crane toys) are great at thinking about the extra details such as the carry handles on either side of the kitchen making it a moveable piece of equipment unlike many of the bigger wooden kitchens.
We are also impressed that, considering this kitchen is priced under £100, Tidlo have decided to include a selection of pretend kitchen utensils. Pots, Pans and Cooking utensils are often not included with dearer kitchens yet this one comes with:
- 1 x Frying Pan
- 1 x Pot with Lid
- 3 x Cooking Utensils
- 1 x Kettle
- 2 x Condiments
- 1 x Tea Towel
Perhaps this kitchen would be a great item to buy if you are looking for something to entertain children that occasionally visit. In particular we could see it working well for grandparents. Visiting grandchildren could be occupied quite happily with this, then it could be lifted and stored away in a corner or in a dry shed until they visit again.
If you are looking for a small, robust, well designed play kitchen for under £100 I think the Tidlo Kitchen Station is really worth considering. It looks great, is moved easily, attractive to both girls and boy and has accessories to get the buddy cook busy. It’s a big thumbs up from us at the Best Toy Kitchen Guide.
